Library Spaces (Lincoln East Campus Only)
Library hours are posted outside the Library and on the Library website.
The Library’s physical space is clearly divided for intended uses:
- The main or Computer Lab side is a space for individual and group use of the College computers, and has casual seating for group work, socializing, and community events.
- The “Quiet Side” of the Library is designated for individual, quiet, intentional study. Please respect other students by limiting conversations.
- The Group Study Room/Testing Center (on the “Quiet Side”) must be reserved for group use, when not in use for testing. Please remember the space is on the “Quiet Side,” and the room is not soundproof.
- Offices, cabinets, and the checkout desk and the area behind it are staff only spaces. Please ask Library employees for help if you need anything from those areas.
- Do not remove any office supplies (staplers, scissors, etc.), whiteboards, or equipment from the library without permission.
- Please return any items from other parts of the college to those spaces.
Library Borrowing Policies (physical materials only)
Please note that the Library’s e-journals, ebooks, and other electronic materials are available at any time and these policies apply to physical items only.
Items are available to check out during the Library’s open hours.
- For Hastings and online only students, please contact the Librarians about borrowing physical items located in Lincoln. A Librarian will provide the materials (mailing, scanning, and emailing, or other types of delivery), without requiring an in-person visit to the Library.
- A limited number of items are available on the Hastings campus, for onsite use only. Please see the administrative assistant for help.

Education Department Borrowing Policies

As these books belong to the Education Department, they set the policies borrowing these materials.
- Books can be borrowed for three weeks.
- Books must be returned to the instructor the day of the class, or the library if the class is missed.
- Overdue notices will be emailed from an Education Department email account.
- Overdue charges will be billed to their college account.
Printing and Photocopying, Scanning, or Faxing
Printing with PaperCut
All college computers for student use are connected to a PaperCut account using student computer logins. This applies to student computers found outside of the Library on East, West, and Hastings campuses.
- Each semester student PaperCut accounts are preloaded with $25 ($35 for graduate students).
- Students cannot use these funds for anything other than printing.
- Unused funds expire at the end of the semester.
- Black and white printing is $0.05 per sheet of paper.
- Computers are set to default to Black and white printing.
- Color printing is $0.25 per sheet of paper.
- Not all printers are color printers. Signs or employees will identify the color printers.
- Once the PaperCut account reached $0, students may need to pay to add money to the account.
- A library employee can add money to the account.
- Unused funds expire at the end of the semester.
